What if you're a dragon but you can't breathe fire? Would you still be a really 'real' dragon?

Ignis is an enchanting story about a young dragon, Ignis, who cannot breathe fire like the rest of his friends.

Ignis sets out to discover if he is truly a dragon and also to find the spark that would ignite his fire.

On his search he befriends a hippo, a parrot, and a human child named Cara.

Ignis spends an entire week with Cara, sharing stories and adventures, until he realizes that he has one last hope in finding his fire. Ignis leaves Cara and journeys to the mouth of an ancient volcano where, maybe, he will find his true self.

This is one of my son's favorite books. Together we read this book about 4 times a week and, each time, my son adds to the story.

The illustrations are beautiful and the dragons themselves come alive, both for my son and myself.

This is one of the best dragon books I've come across for young children. It's intriguing to young minds and the dragons are not scary.
