Step into the Viking World (Step into Series) by Philip Steele.
This is a really good book that I bought for the 2004-2005 homeschool school year. It's got oodles of eye-catching pictures and fun activities such as making Viking bread, a papier mache helmet, and a shield. The only thing I don't care for are the two pages on Christianity entering the Viking world. I plan on skipping that section and, instead, go further in-depth with the Norse mythology/religious practices.
